Description
Micro Black Crickets – Gryllus bimaculatus
Also known as the African or Mediterranean field cricket or as the Two- spotted cricket. The spots are on the base of the wing.
Micro Crickets are great for feeding Dart frogs and other tiny amphibians, reptiles or invertebrates.
As with all livefoods “Gut Loading” (feeding a good quality, nutritious diet) is very important – please read our blog for more information.
They can be easily dusted with calcium and vitamin/mineral supplements.
Best kept between 29℃ and 32℃.
How they come
The pre packs come with some bug grub packed into non-vented tubs (this is to maintain humidity) with egg carton to increase the surface area of the tub.
Caring for Crickets and gut loading
For the best result feed with an insect food and vegetables such as raw carrot.
