Description
Terrarium mesh is used to keep the substrate separate from your drainage layer in your bio-active terrarium. The fine terrarium mesh prevents even small particles of substrate from making their way down into the drainage layer. But still allow plant roots through.

How To Use Terrarium Mesh
Once you have your drainage layer installed in the base of your terrarium, spread the mesh carefully across the top of the drainage material. If necessary, use several pieces – overlap the edges to prevent substrate falling through. Gently spread the mesh until it reaches the edge of the terrarium. Make sure that it fits all the way into the corners. For a terrarium of 60 x 45cm you will need one piece, if larger then you will need more. For smaller terrariums you can either fold the mesh (it works just as well doubled over!) or cut it to size with a sharp pair of scissors.
Carefully distribute your chosen substrate across the surface of the mesh, then top it off with a thick layer of leaf litter. Even very fine substrates can be used with this product. Although do bear in mind that some particles will always be small enough to slip through. When new substrate is placed on top of the mesh, make sure that it is already damp – if it is dry, all the fine, dusty particles will wash through to the drainage layer below.
Long lasting, inert and non toxic, this product will give trouble free service for years.
