Description
ProRep Sedge Peat Substrate
ProRep Sedge Peat Substrate is part of the species-specific Life Series, designed to meet the needs of species originating from humid habitats, including burrowing species. This high-quality substrate is composed mostly of decomposing sedges, reeds, cattails, and marsh grasses, which naturally occur in shallow areas of open water.
Key Features:
- Ideal Structure and Moisture Retention: The mix of decomposing plant materials offers the perfect balance of structure and moisture retention, promoting natural digging and burrowing behaviours.
- Versatile Use: Suitable for a variety of species, including scorpions, tarantulas, and other burrowing invertebrates.
Usage Instructions:
- Substrate Depth: Spread the substrate evenly over the bottom of the enclosure. For most species, a depth of 1-2 inches (2.5-5cm) is adequate, while burrowing species may require 2-4 inches (5-10cm) to construct their burrows.
- Maintenance: Spot-clean regularly to remove soiled substrate and replace it completely every 2-3 months. Keep the substrate evenly moist but avoid over-saturation.
ProRep Sedge Peat Substrate provides a naturalistic and healthy environment for your pets, encouraging their natural behaviours and ensuring their well-being.
