ZooMed Powersun UV Lamp 160W

Description

The PowerSun UV is a self-ballasted mercury vapour lamp which emits UVA, UVB and heat all in one lamp. Fits into a standard ceramic socket, no separate ballast needed.

The 100 and 160W all project UVB up to several feet from the lamp’s surface and is ideal for large terrariums or bird aviaries. Often used for tortoise tables, they are a convenient and safe way to provide your pet with heat, visible light, UVA and UVB all in one bulb.

Like all mercury vapour bulbs, they cannot be used with a thermostat. Temperature control is achieved by physically moving the lamp, which should always be used pointing vertically down. Always check your temperatures with an accurate digital thermometer. Replace yearly, unless you have a UVB meter to check UV emissions.
